Thomas McCarthy is a former Special Agent in Charge of the Syracuse, NY Field Office of the U. S. Secret Service. During his 24 year career he was assigned to both the Presidential and Vice Presidential Protective Details during multiple administrations. With his military training, as well as his special training as a member of the U.S. Secret Service and a consultant to the U.S. State Department, Tom is uniquely positioned to offer consulting and training services on all aspects of personal and corporate security.

Tom is a past member in the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP), and is regularly called upon to make Threat Assessments and design pro-active measure plans designed to reduce dangers. He is a certified expert witness before the New York State Supreme Court in the protection of at risk persons, and also served as a Guest Lecturer at John Jay College of Criminal Justice on the subjects of Executive Protection and Workplace Violence.
